Please read these conditions carefully before using the Brechin Books Website.
By using the Brechin Books website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions.
In addition, when you use any current or future Brechin Books Website service, you will also be
subject to the guidelines and conditions applicable to that service
- Buying
- Online payment is made through PayPal Website Payments
Once Brechin Books has received your purchase request as notified by PayPal we will begin to process your order.
Please be aware that full payment will be taken from your card when we have accepted your order
and it is ready to be shipped.

add any additional fees to your purchase if you pay via any of the card type supported.

Our company does not believe
in cold calling nor in postal advertising. Information that is supplied to us (e.g. postal address,
email or telephone number) will be used only in connection with the processing of the current order.
Further contact will only be made if we receive written permission from the customer requesting we contact
them outwith the initial transaction. Information supplied to us will not be passed onto third parties
unless written consent is given by the customer. Our website uses PayPal for customer card payment
transactions. You can pay for an order without being a member of PayPal. Visit their site to find out more.

- Invoicing
You will receive a PayPal invoice shortly after paying. This is your proof of purchase and you should retain it at least until you receive the goods.
A paper invoice will be included in your order. Should you have any queries about your order, please feel free to
enquire.
- Shipping
- Dispatch
Upon receipt of payment
for your items we will dispatch your order. In the case of online payment this will be as soon as we receive
conformation of the payment.
- Packing
All books will be packaged safely and
securely and will be available to be shipped via a variety of different postage methods
(see 'Shipping Charges').
- Shipping and Handling Charges
£1.75 per item
- Shipping Times
Orders upto and including 1kg will be sent by 1st class mail.
Orders over 1kg will be sent by courier.
First class post will take approximately 1-2 days.
Orders by courier will take approximately 2-5 days.
Please note postal times may be affected by circumstances beyond our control.
Please allow at least 10 days before contacting us regarding non-delivery of ordered items and
we will do our best to remedy the situation quickly.
- Returns & Cancellations
At Brechin Books we make every effort to ensure that your book(s) arrive in pristine condition and that your
order is correct. In the unlikely event that you should be dissatisfied , then the following applies.
- Returns
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase please
contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order and we will organise a return and refund on your purchase.
Books being returned must be in their original condition and please include the folowing:
- A
note of your name and address and date of purchase.
- The reason you are returning the book(s).

A copy of our order reference number.
- Your email address to allow us to notify you when the returned
books arrive.
Returns cannot be made after the initial 14 days.

Please note delivery costs will only be refunded if the books
supplied were damaged or defective or sent in error.
- Multiple Orders
If only
one book from a multiple order is found to be defective or damaged, then a prorata sum will be calculated and
refunded to you.
- Method of Return of books
Please ensure that book(s) are suitably
packaged and for your own protection we would recommend that you use some form of RECORDED DELIVERY.
- Refunds
If you have paid by Credit card your card will be refunded within 28 days
of receipt of the returned book(s). If you have paid by cheque you will receive a refund cheque within 28 days.
Please include a note with your returned book(s) stating your name ,address and date of purchase and our order
reference number. Please include your email address so that we can notify you when returned books are received
- Cancellation
Cancellation of orders is only possible if cancellation is
requested within 48 hrs of initial purchase. Please note there will be a nominal charge for cancellation.
- Communication
- Email or postal enquiries will be dealt with within 2 working days of receipt.
- Exportation
- Unfortunately at the present moment
we are only able to ship items to addresses within the UK. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
